The Yasun\u00ed National Park and its surroundings are considered the most biodiverse area on the planet for its species richness. This park contains more animal species by hectare than all Europe. The main goal of the scientific expeditions carried out in Yasun\u00ed is studying biodiversity, global change and ethnoecology in the equatorial Amazon.
